I am not sure what Christmas is all about yet, but I know there is a sleeping baby and a manger involved. I REALLY hope that doesn't mean they put me in a trough to sleep....surely not. Right? Hate to say this, but I am accustomed to my 400 thread count sheets and I am not ready to rough it. I do like the idea of three wise men bringing me gifts and angels singing all around me though...that would be kind of cool. What I don't understand is why they keep calling the baby, Jesus and the mommy, Mary. My name is MARIA, and mommy's name is MOMMY. Mary is grandma and yia yia's name. I think they have everybody mixed up.

Cold
Anyway, I just started a real cough (I have this fake cough I do for mommy and daddy when I want them to look at me - it was pretty effective at first, but I think it is losing some of its impact). The cough is what tipped me off this might be a full on cold. Ugh.

Big girl
I am a big girl now (sort of). I am wearing big girl clothes and I am sitting up almost on my own - although I get pretty weebly wobbly when I don't focus. I've got to stop getting distracted....it's hard though...so many colorful things to look at and so many sounds to follow all around me. Am particulary enjoying the Marco and Zoe show that seems fairly consistent every evening. They are definitely good dinner entertainment despite mommy's frustration with them. Anyway....sorry, got distracted :) I am going tonight for a weigh in and am really feeling good about my extra cushioning that I've put on. Really think I might have gained a whole pound, but I do not want to get overly optimistic.

Food
Last week mommy started feeding me this horrible concoction of slop. I think she said it was called rice cereal. It was vial and I had to get a little dramatic to communicate my dislike for it, but I feel it was merited.

Daddy's birthday
Daddy told me a secret this weekend and I almost fell over in shock (well I guess I fall over a lot, but I am not being literal this time). Since I am the only one that reads my diary, I will just say it....daddy turned 39 YEARS OLD! Wow, that is ancient! Did they even have BPA free bottles and organic rice cereal? Were there such things as Baby Einstein, Sprout Pouches, and Mylicon (a few of my favorite things) back then? How did he survive!

Pumpkin patch
A couple weekends ago (I know, I am getting way behind on my posts....if mommy would just remember to download photos, I could be on top of it. Anyway....) we went to Beasley Orchards just outside of Indianapolis. It was so much fun! There was hayride that took us to a HUGE pumpkin patch with pumpkins as big as me in it. We had cream soda, well mommy went first and I got it about an hour after that, and daddy had a walking taco.....it kept walking all the way home too (and they say I am a stinker!). I learned that mosquitos love me which I am not happy about.....they had an all out attack on me...one got me right by the eye, another on the side of my head, and the queen squeeter got me on my foot which swelled up and blistered. But, the coolest part of the day was the corn maze. I was so worried that we would get lost in it and be there forever since mommy and daddy are so directionally challenged--I even suggested they go get their GPS unit out of the car, but they acted like I was talking jibberish. Thank goodness we made it through!

Birthday party
After the cake fiasco, I thought Liam decided to make it up to me by playing me a song on his brand new baby grand piano. Although when he put out his hat for tips, I realized he was playing for the crowd, and not just me. Double rats.

Sisterhood
I want to give a shout out to my new friend Briley Lynn who arrived October 8th. Power to the sisterhood! And congrats to Kris and Stacey and mammow...they were a lot of fun at the hospital when I went to visit. Now I am not one to talk with the fringe that I have going on, but while at the hospital I actually saw a girl with a mullet! Unbelievable.

Friend
Marco and I have been bonding lately now that I have my phat mini pad on the floor. It is totally souped up with all the latest technology. I invite him over to play and he loves the surround sound I can make. Zoe gets jealous a lot, but I figure that is normal sister rivalry. Last night he started telling me what he and Zoe were getting up to while mommy and daddy were downstairs, but I better stop there because he told me not to tell anyone. Although, I think daddy might have figured it out when he was walking through the kitchen and called out Marco's name and said something about a wet sock.

Greek Fest
This weekend we went to celebrate with other people who eat, drink, talk, and talk about the next time they are going to eat and drink....yasou Greek Fest !!! Grandpa, Grandma, mommy and daddy all went to celebrate our greekness. Mommy told me how she and daddy got married at the church we were at for the festival and they had MANY prayers for her to be fertile. She said was very glad for those prayers because they helped me to arrive.
I ended up taking a little snooze at first, but I was ready to go when the dancing began. The greek dancers did a pretty good job, but I think I could have done better. I've got these moves that are untouchable. In the market area, daddy put this hat on me that matched mommy's and we looked like total tools, but they seemed to think yia yia and papou would like it.

Labor Day Weekend
Also, I was able to fit into my cool bathing suit that I have been wanting to wear all summer. All this eating is hard work! The benefits are paying off though - I've got an extra chin that mommy likes to tickle, a buddha belly that daddy likes to

4 months
I can't believe it...I am four months old! Where does the time go.... Unfortunately with being 4 months, I had to get more shots which I didn't much like, but it is okay now...I barely remember it. Also with age, apparently comes weight...I weighed in at 9lbs 13oz. this week. Hurrah! My life has been pretty cake lately...a little nap here...a little boob snack there...some smiling/laughing in between. I have been trying to communicate to mommy and daddy, but they just look back at me all crazy and make these weird faces and noises back. Do they not hear what I am saying! I tested this theory the other day and confirmed....I said you have something in your teeth mommy, but she just smiled bigger showing it off. I swear...sometimes I get so embarrassed being with them in public.

Aunt and Uncle
I have a new Aunt and two new cousins! Hurrah! Uncle Kev got married this past weekend. The wedding was beautiful...it made me cry a bit, but I pulled it together. The ceremony was at this romantic french chateau with gorgeous gardens. We took tons of photos there. I totally want to get married there when I am older.
Also, it just so happens that I was a bit gassy that day (maybe it was something I ate...or mom ate) and while I was sitting there in the middle of the prayer I started to feel something well up. Luckily I made it through without releasing the Crackin, but if it would snuck out, I guess I could have blamed it on daddy.
